The cast, crew, and production team of ‘& Juliet’ is back at it, and bringing their ‘larger than life’ production to you… and that’s the way it is!
Shakespeare’s most famous story has gotten a brand new inspiring and unexpected message: “my loneliness ain’t killing me no more”, and is following an riveting alternative storyline, as written by David West Read.
At the core of it all, is the timeless music of the pop powerhouse, Max Martin. If you’ve been anywhere near Planet Earth in the last couple of decades, you’d recognize them all - from ’I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman’ and ‘Overprotected’ to The Backstreet Boys’ smashers, from ’I Kissed a Girl’ and ‘Roar’ to ’It’s Gonna Be Me’ and ‘It’s My Life’.
Apart from this, ‘& Juliet’ is bursting at the seams with chemistry that oozes from the highly talented cast into the audience, inclusivity like you’ve seldom experienced before, creative and potent arrangements of the music that was the soundtrack to countless lives, and of course, breathtaking special effects and visuals, brilliant lighting, delightful sets, tight choreography, and creative Elizabethan-meets-21st Century costumes. As a whole, ‘& Juliet’ is hovering somewhere in between the 16th Century and the modern age, wonderfully original, jolly, and loads of fun!
’& Juliet’ premiered in the Manchester Opera House in 2019 before moving to the West End, kicking it out of its orbit.
The production racked up three Laurence Olivier Awards, as well as a record-breaking 13 WhatsOnStage Awards-nominations, of which they took home six.
